Default best sound format for use in Flash

Hi All,

I'm just starting on a project which uses a lot of sound files.

Does anyone have any advice on the best sound format to use to maximize quality and minimize swf size? WAV? MP3?

Thanks.

A lot of people use wav files, cause they have a high quality. But they have a tendancy to be bigger in format size. Try using mp3's, they hold the same quality, but with a better compression.

Thanks for the tip.

Does that mean that Flash doesn't compress audio files when the swf file compliles?

Yes flash compresses everything down. Thats why the swf file is so much smaller then the fla file. But how your swf reacts will be based on how well you put together the fla file.
