Default amf-php working . . . here's the dopwnload

So I finally got amf-php working.

It appears that absolute path was buggy (I don't know why), and the relative path worked just fine.

here's the url to view the working sample
http://www.caillouette.com/myproject.../examples.html

here's a download of the files from my server
http://www.caillouette.com/amfphp_sample.sit

After you download and unstuff the files, simply post "myproject" on your server and goto
http://www.yourhost.com/myproject/ex.../examples.html

and it should work. If it doesn't work, republ;ish the flash page called "examples.fla"

Also, you need to have Flash remoting extensions installed.
the link to download the flash remoting componenets is this: http://www.macromedia.com/software/f...ds/components/

If anybody has any good links to help me learn more amf-php please send post them in a reply.

Thanks

I was having a prob getting amf-php to work properly, found your post after a search and cannot download from the link you have - are they still availble ? It would really help if they where.

I see that you have had no response to this thread, so maybe I am the first to say well done and a big thanks for sharing

Hi vik,
Thanks for those links, I already had the site but hadn't looked at it properly, saves me a bit of time. I will be exploring those in detail later today.
There is also a very good tute on this site by Jesse, tho' I found the pre amble a bit long, it does give an excellent explanation of what amf-php is and what it does so worth reading.

as tute is here

Cheers

Vosgien

p.s. there is also flash shopping basket using amf-php over at Flash - db, but I do'nt have hte link !!!

Hi,
Yep, said the same in my p.s. in the prev post, just cannot find the link again to the tute - got the darned thing bookmarked somewhere but can't find it.
Point is there more than few excellent tutes on this subject, but as SeanPaul states and if you follow the threads on this site, flash-db and devShed, it seems there are a few bugs in the amf-php files, I was hoping he would pick up this post and make his files available again, must be on hols or something - lol !!!
