Image into the MySQL database as blob or something??? That's interesting... I think I've seen a couple of PHP classes that does that, but why would you want to do that??? I don't really see why you should do it that way...
Enough said... Very nice one, xxlm... I just hope that everything is done in Flash... But there is nothing wrong with the hybrid page... ![]() The only thing I can think of for the tutorial is that maybe you could add the language object or array where you can specify what language you want to see and have it display the strings from the given array... AND yeah, move the PHP page to Flash... ![]() In the main page, I see previous and next button and one oval preloader like shape in the middle of the page, and I am sorta lost on what I need to do from there since the buttons are not working excpet the HTML button... Abit confusing to me...

I'm using blob because I think it's pretty interesting having ALL in a database.
Hybrid page you mean, the page for the admin? Yeah I've done it in php, I know. But yes it's a good idea making it in flash. Will see when all will be done. ![]() I don't get what you mean about the language object, sorry :shame: Else the flash doesn't work? This is what you mean? Stange it's working for me. It's flash 7. I've tried it in Opera and IE6 and it's working (using anonymous proxy to be sure loading from web and not local) You should see in the page the preloader and then loading the image. Previous and next are to go previous and next image. (will write it previous image now héhéhé). Thx for your comments cyanblue

At first time, I thought it was the problem with my slow connection, but I DO see those three pictures when I get to the HTML page fairly quick, so it isn't the problem with the 56k connection... Hm... I don't know... (FP 7.0.19.0/W2K/IE6)

Thx for the report cyanblue.
For the array. It's extra stuff, and I think I will not do it here. It's not the aim of the tut. BUt I will put all in english for sure... ![]() Quote:
I like db cause you don't need to look for the file on the hd after making a query. Like you get the path or the name of the file or something/ then you have to deal with to get the right file on the hd. i come with it cause I've work on several project with files saved on hd, and it was mess. (btw I didn't develop this project, just debug hé). So I think it's better this way. You're making your query and having all the info already. This is it. Moreover it's easy to save. Just making backup of the db and all is saved... ![]() Else for the flash this is strange you don't have it working... You need v7 player. I publish it with 7.1.1 flash mx 2004 pro.... Strange... Will test with friend here and will let you know... ![]() C you and thx

So any luck? And as faffy suggest ma I'll title my tut as "Loading binary data from db to flash". Cause I'm showing a way to load binary data. Not only image. You can eg, store pdf for a product or mp3 or anything... ![]() I think it's pretty cool no? C ya... ![]()
