[Q] Do we need those forums???
Um... Just a thought...
I know this has been brought up before, but I am saying it again...
Do we need those forums like 'Simple Stuff' or 'General Help'??? Can we convert them to something abit more useful like JavaScript or HTML forums for example??? That way all the Flash questions can go FMX 2004 and FMX forums and their sub forums...
As I was saying... Just a thought...

I love that idea. Having javascript and html forums would be great. No-one uses the 'general' and 'simple' forums correctly anyway and you see html and javascript questions all the time. I like it. No poll?

Hehe... dzy2566... I've edited the post so that we won't limit the option to JavaScript and HTML forums...
The idea is that those forums can be a part of another forums and we could probably utilize it to another way to get the maximum exposure and help others...
Poll... Yeah...

i've always thought a javascript/html forum would be great to have here, but i think general/simple forums are important too. give newbies somewhere they may feel a bit more comfortable post the fist few questions to.

Well either way, I would love to see a few forums on here for related techs, thus far unrepresented. Great idea, I'm at work so I don't really have time to suggest a well thought out restructuring of it, but I can say I'm for some sort of addition/substituation/consoidation with the forums we have now.

Well... That's very good point of leaving those forums as it is, tg, but... I don't know...

I'm with tg.
The way I see it, this is actionscript.org -- if actionscripting people want to post html/js related questions in general help that makes sense to me. It's like saying "I'm an actionscripter, but I need help with this for now". If we had html/js forums it would just feel less like a flash forum and more like a webdesign forum.

I think adding a JavaScript/HTML forum would be a good idea. I dont know if it would make it more of a webdesign forum, but as we all know there is a lot of interaction between Flash and Javascript. That and you cant put flash on the web without HTML, so they are all sort of inteerlaced with eachother anyway.
Just to note, I am in no way complaining, nor would I ever say anything negative about Actionscripts.org. But if this forum is going to expand and grow, I'd like to contribute.

The way it is used now, general help and simple stuff seems to be the same one. Both of them are filled with similar questions. But don`t just dump them ! Not everybody is at the same level here CB.
Adding a few forums is fine with me though ... so, yeah. I`m with tg too, in case we`re starting a war here and I have to declare on which side of the red line I am.
