Default simple ASP login

I am designing a fairly simple Flash-based login screen for a site. There are 2 text fields, with the variables: "username" and "password" and a button called "SUBMIT". Upon clicking SUBMIT, I want the variables in the text fields to be passed to an ASP page called "default.asp". Right now, this is how I have it set up:

1. A keyframe on the main timeline, has this code:
//
loginURL="http://www.url.net/default.asp";
function loginSubmit () {
userLogin="<Login><UserName>"+userName.text+"</UserName><Password>"+password.text+"</Password></Login>";
}
stop();
//

2. The code on the button is this:
//
on (release, keyPress "<Enter>") {
loginSubmit();
}
//

I'm not getting any sort of response to it at all. Since I know nothing about ASP, I just pasted code from a tutorial I found in a book. How do I pass those 2 variables to the ASP page?

I attached the FLA along with this message. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
