Photoshop to FLASH

To my knowledge of flash this is not possible but I really need some way to do this.

Currently I have a symbol in a PSD that I would like to take over to flash without redrawing it and use it as a layer mask. The problem is I could export in Photoshop as a png I know and have the transparent background but is there a way just to have the shape(It currently exports as square)? I don’t want to have to sit and have to cut out the image in flash either, there has got to be simpler way. I mean I can't be the only one with this issue.

once imported use the trace bitmap function then delete the excess

Thank you it worked it came out a little rough but it saved me a lot of time so I am not one to complain Thank you soo much

Mess with the trace bitmap settings to get it closer to what you want. =)

Trace the element in Illustrator or Freehand first and import the graphic as a vector. It will be smaller (file size) and work the same.

I suppose you could trace it right in PS, and then paste the vector shape into Illustrator, and export a .swf from there if you aren't comfortable using the Illustrator tools.

cant you also just copy from ps .. and paste into a new graphic in flash?
