Flash and XML

All I want to do is run some text from an external XML file...or at least do ANYTHING that I can with the integration of Flash and XML...does anyone know a really easy step by step tutorial or could give me a run down on what's got to be done to accomplish a good link with Flash and XML?

you know, i'm struggling with my own xml problems in flash right now...but the best tutorial i've been able to find has been on this site.

Or you could use the XMLconnector in flash mx 2004, extremely powerful.
