Talking Preloader kicking my comboboxs a$$

Here is the score. I've been working on this project for about a month roughly. The basics is that I'm giving people a series of options using comboboxes. However the Actionscripting was so "big" that it caused flash to freak out and ask me if I wanted to abort the actions script so what I could view the movie.

So I think preloader!

However now it loads fine but the combo boxes have stopped functioning.

Anyone have any smart ideas? I've attached a stripped down version of the file I'm working on. to give you a batter handle on my problem

Research the _lockroot property in the documentation.

So I've spent the day reading and testing varations on this "_lockroot". Although very nifty I'm failing to see how it relates to my current problem. Would Components be considered a movie clips? Sorry the "component" end of flash is a bit new to me.

The more I look at the problem it seems like the Comboboxes are not loading in full. Is there a way to load Components?
