Default Javascript menu not closing

I am trying to learn how to make a Javascript menu and the menu will not close if the mouse has moved off the main button. Is that a time out thing? The file has been attached. Can someone please help me solve the problem?

looking at your script.. in one of ur <a> tags you have onMouseover calling the show menu function.... but u never did an onMouseout to call the hide function.
