flash radio stream player: possible ?

hi all !

I'm wondering if it would be at all possible to build a flash file that allows to pick up a shoutcast stream and play it, much like winamp does.

what winamp receives is a .pls file (playlist file)

such file contain info like;

#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:-1,myRadio Name
http://audio.myradio.com:4030/

anybody heard of a project such as that? would it be at all possible ?

I don't quite get it, do u just wanna make a play lists and play them??

I wish i could make a player to listen to internet radio streams.

for example, go to: http://www.themicrocast.com and click on "listen". It will launch winamp or other media player which will pickup the stream, buffer it and then play it.

it's always a problem for some people because they don't have the right media player etc etc... Making it in flash would make sure they can listen to it without having to install anything.
