Default Problem with stopping an external movie. Help please?

Hi,
I have loade an external swf in frame one by this code:
ActionScript Code:
_root.holder.loadMovie("myfile.swf");
Everything is fine and the external swf plays. On another layer in frame one I have a stop button with this code on it:
ActionScript Code:
on(release){     _root.holder.stop(); }
But it doesn't work. I want to stop the external swf to play (freeses) until a play button been pushed.

Any help on this please?

Yo can create it with ActionScript:

createEmptyMovieClip("nameofMovieClip", 1);
//1 is firs level
_root.nameofMovieClip.loadMovie("myfile.swf");

and then to stop, try this:
nameofMovieClip.removeMovieClip();

Bye!

Hi toniabc,
I don't want to remove the loaded movie, just stop that to play.

No, my external swf has some animations. I want to freese the movie with a stop button and then play again with a play button. Just like a stop and play on a VCR.

Did you check in your debug control if all the variables are ok? And check the levels!

Should I have access to all the MCs and variables on that external swf movie? It has been created with a third party software.
I have control on positioning, _alpha and scale of that. But I can't stop that to play.
I don't have access inside the swf file.
