Weirdo Scrollbar problem

Ok I have done everthing that the flash MX explains to. I have made a dynamic textbox (with text in it!) given it an instance name. When I go to the components window (or on the second try my library) and drag the scrollbar onto the textbox it doesn't "snap to the side" and automaticly start working. It just goes onto the screen without snappiing and is just there like any other object that would be dragged and dropped

I fought this a while until it occured to me. I am on a mission to spread the word since it is never mentioned in the documentation:

To snap a scroll bar onto a dynamic text field, you must have snap to objects set to on.
