loadVariables problem on a Pocket PC

Hi all,
Here is my problem, i've got an flash projector running on a PDA, on the first frame, the file loads two variables ("address" and "port") on a .txt file, using the loadVariables function (_root.loadVariables()).
My problem is, everything works fine the first time, but if i try to modify the .txt file, it seems like the .exe don't comme back and read the file anymore.
