Default Division symbol in text field

In a text field I would like "2÷" to appear (This is for a program to test division). This is the code that I have been using.

nowShow_txt.text="2÷";

In the text field only the 2 appears and not the ÷ symbol.

If anyone could help me with this it would be much appreciated.

I just tried that in a flash app and the ÷ symbol appeared fine in the text box :/

What font is your text box using? Make sure you font which has a character for '÷'.

I am using Arial Black. I checked on the character map and it appears that the ÷ symbol is part of that set. What font were you using to check it? I"ll have a go at that one.

Everything is fine! I just checked the character range and in the properties and somehow i had set the ranges to exclude this character. Thanks for your help - once I could see that it should work I realise that i must have stuffed up elsewhere.
