help creating a game!!!

HELP!!! haha, ok I am taking a Flash course at my school and we have a final project due in 2 weeks. I have a problem, I have an excellent idea, ive made all the parts for my game... now for the difficult part, getting it to work!! Ok, first i'll describe the idea of my game then i'll ask for some help! Ok, it's kind of a fighting game, I have a couple of characters one is run by the user and the other is a computer player. What they're doing is they're sitting down and they have an eating contest, who can eat the most donuts the fastest... I have no clue how to make this work. Im not very good with action scripting... I want to make a button corrospond with the user's player, like when you click the button he takes a bite and every 15-20 bites he finishes a donut and moves to the next one. Now how would I go about doing that and then how would I be able to make the computer do it on his own? And is it possible to make it more difficult? like have one computer guy be easy then the next be harder? If anyone, anyone at all can poit me in the right direction I would be sooooo grateful. I need help soon because if I cant figure out how to do this then I will have to design a web page in flash, i always do that so Im looking to do something different... thanks in advance and I look forward to eharing from someone(s).

Don't want to sound unhelpful, but you need to walk before you can run mate. This site has a good tutorials section...get the basics together then start extending your skills. Good luck!
