MC's in scroll panes

we are working on a flash based cd-rom. Flash controls the navigation bar on th left of the pages,which in turn plays different MCs in the header that are matched to the corresponding nav buttons. these buttons will also call the mc's that conatin the content to play in the main section of the page. Can I load an .swf into a scroll pane? I can't get my MC interactivity(buttons,rollovers,links) to work once its embedded in a scroll pane. The MC's work fine on their own,just not once they are in a scroll pane.

has anybody done something like this??

Do you have references to _root in those to be loaded movies?
If so get rid of them and use relative pathing.

when you want have a reference of the content in a scrollPane you can do

/***In MX 2004****/
var mc=miscrollPane.content
//p.e.
mc.loadMovie("movie1.swf")

/***In MX ****/
var mc=miscrollPane.getScrollContent()
//p.e.
mc.loadMovie("movie1.swf")
