another option is start your creation in frame 2 or greater. this will give you blank frames at the beginning of your movie and a blank stage for a few frames before your movie starts. go into photoshop or something similar and creat a 100x100 pixel with the same background as the page you're embedding your movie into, be it a color or whatever. after you've completed your .fla create another layer, call it background, click on the space where you give it a name(to the far right) and drag it to the bottom making it the bacgkround. go to file>import> and import the 100x100pixel background you just created. once it's on the stage, select and copy and paste as many times as you need to fill the stage. then go to the end of your movie and in the same layer insert a keyframe(f6) corresponding to the last frame of your other layers. this will put the bg across behind all layers throughout the movie.
