basic question about fonts~

I heard that there would be a mistake if you have no font of a swf file and you open it in your machine ~ really?

if it does , what should I do ???

never heard of it. I believe when u don't include yer font the device font is used (which usually is arial, or times new roman). Some dynamic text won't appear under certain conditions.

If u want to play it save, just include the font.

then how about a foreign font ? eg, a Japanese font ~

Those are tricky. U HAVE to include those, since not many people have them. When the auto install on demand is on, the users will be asked if they want the foreign language support installed. After that it will be as any other font. But, there are some differences between true type fonts and the other-one-I-can't-remember-now. Check the macromedia site for a techsheet about fonts.

You have to check the 'embed font' check box of the text option panel if you want to emebed the font along with the swf.
