ie help needed

well i've gone and done it... i've installed ie 6 on my pc, and there is one really annoying feature that i want to see if anyone can help me get rid of.

when i first start up the browser, ie6 popup an advertisement... i would reall love to kill the ad. i thought it might be google, but it doesn't do it at work where i use ie5.

any clues? help? suggestions?

if you disable scripting in browser settings that might do it.
Try changing your home page also...could work!

ya i'll try the disable script debugging, but i don't think thats it (i'll try anything once). and its probably time to switch my homepage from google to actionscripts.org.

You can put tihe google search bar in ie. It's pretty handy.

I had the google bar up and running and really liked it a lot (great idea by them) however i accidentally closed it and now can't figure out how to reopen it...do i need to reinstall it?

I don't know how to close it, so cant really say! It's a quick enough install, so you might as well run it again - it will just overwrite the one you have now.

I should think that you'd have to go up to View mode, there you have toolbars, and you can choose to see the google toolbar again.
