Default Regular Expression

Does anyone know AS2.0 perform regular expression operations like PERL or PHP?

Thanks in advance.

Oh man! This is so awesome!! Minor bugs but it helps out a lot!

My original design was to have all the input data from the API (AS 2.0) passed to PERL and have it parse the information and perform the "input-error" handling. But now I can save the step of passing information back-n-forth from FLASH->Perl->FLASH

Thanks!!!!

Does anyone use another implementation of RegExp for Flash? The Jurjans/Jlott one is just too flaky for me...

[edit]
E.g., "ZZZ.*ZZZ" won't match if there are more than 999 characters between the ZZZ's. I know that that's what an open source project is for (and I am thankful, Jurjans/JLott!), I should read the code and fix it myself, but the code is barely readable, almost entirely consisting of cryptic one letter variable names (I was thinking that someone decompiled obfuscated code to get it ).[/edit]
