Default animation problem

I made an animation of an envelope that is tweening in a motion guide. Once the (mc)envelope is clicked, it stops moving, make an animation of an opening envelope, disappears and a new mc pop-ups with a message. My problem is the boss wanted an animation of the message to come out of the envelope and be displayed on the center of the movie. How do I do it if the _x and _y of the envelope keeps on changing and the new mc that pop-ups start with a _xscale and _yscale = 5 and ends with 100?

It's a bit hard to clearly explain with the information you gave, if you post a .fla I will take a look at it for you, I'm sure many people here would find it alot easier to understand.

Thanks for reply. Here is the fla file. If you run it, you will see a floating envelope, click on it, the envelope opens and a message pops-up from the middle of the screen. What d boss wants is for the message to come out of the envelope.

All you have to do is put the message in the MC_envelopeMove section instead of the MC_envelopeFloat. That way it willcome out wherever the envelope is, not in the middle.

All you have to do is redo some layers and change a few lines of actionscript.

Try it and tell me if you get it.

is this the effect you want? you can put the effect, which is in the ab.fla, into your file, and i suppose it should solve the problem.

thanks for reply, Dickie. Yes, the effect is something like the fla you attached, except that my envelope is moving and will only stop the moment you click it. Once you click it, the message will appear and display towards the center of the screen.
