Lens Flare effect

Hi folks,
I have been trying to create a truly effective lensflare look in Flash and in Illustrator and just can't nail it.
I have seen this effect a number of times and can reproduce it in photoshop but I need a vector procuced effect that I can then work with in AS.

I can't find the tutorial I used to make this effect back in the days of Flash 4, but there's some good open source.
