Default Can't get my Combo box or list box to load swf files into existing ones (mt)h

i am quite new to flash mx and have been trying to get the combo box and list box components to load other swf files into the resident or host file.
say i have "jane" and "john" as values in my combo box, i want that on click of john it loads the swf file "john.swf" into the same level as the host file. please can any one help me with the actionscripts aspect of this... thank you

Below is the code to do what you are asking.

Code:
//add a listener to listen for changes in the combo Box
	var box_listener:Object = new Object();
	combo_box.addEventListener("change", box_listener);

	//tell it what to happen depending on which item is selected
	box_listener.change = function() {
		var selected_item = combo_box.selectedItem;
		if (selected_item.label == "jane") {
			loadMovie ("jane.swf", 1);
		}
		if (selected_item.label == "john") {
			loadMovie ("john.swf", 1);
		}
	}
Feel free to ask if you are still having trouble.
