Question Blur Transition Effect

I just want to thank, Patrick Mineault for creating the blur transition effect, and it help me with my final project due this coming Monday. Only one problem, how can I group a movie clip with animmation?

I have fifteen frames on one movie clip, and I created a second layer for the blur image. I retype this actionscript:

onClipEvent(load)
{
dir = 0;
speed = 2;
boat._alpha = 0
boatone._alpha = 50
boattwo._alpha = 50
boatthree._alpha = 50
boatfour._alpha = 50
boatfive._alpha = 50
boatsix._alpha = 50
boatseven._alpha = 50
boateight._alpha = 50
boatnine._alpha = 50
boatten._alpha = 50
boateleven._alpha = 50
boattwelve._alpha = 50
boatthirteen._alpha = 50
boatfourteen._alpha = 50
boatfiveten._alpha = 50
boatsixten._alpha = 50
this.onRollOver = function()
{
dir = 1;
}
this.onRollOut = function()
{
dir = -1;
}
useHandCursor = false;
}
onClipEvent(mouseDown)
{
temp = boat._alpha + speed*dir;
temp = boatone._alpha + speed*dir;
temp = boattwo._alpha + speed*dir;
temp = boatthree._alpha + speed*dir;
temp = boatfour._alpha + speed*dir;
temp = boatfive._alpha + speed*dir;
temp = boatsix._alpha + speed*dir;
temp = boatseven._alpha + speed*dir;
temp = boateight._alpha + speed*dir;
temp = boatnine._alpha + speed*dir;
temp = boatten._alpha + speed*dir;
temp = boateleven._alpha + speed*dir;
temp = boattwelve._alpha + speed*dir;
temp = boatthirteen._alpha + speed*dir;
temp = boatfourteen._alpha + speed*dir;
temp = boatfixten._alpha + speed*dir;
temp = boatsixten._alpha + speed*dir;
boat._alpha = Math.min(100,Math.max(temp,0));
boatone._alpha = Math.min(100,Math.max(temp,0));
boattwo._alpha = Math.min(100,Math.max(temp,0));
boatthree._alpha = Math.min(100,Math.max(temp,0));
boatfour._alpha = Math.min(100,Math.max(temp,0));
boatfive._alpha = Math.min(100,Math.max(temp,0));
boatsix._alpha = Math.min(100,Math.max(temp,0));
boatseven._alpha = Math.min(100,Math.max(temp,0));
boateight._alpha = Math.min(100,Math.max(temp,0));
boatnine._alpha = Math.min(100,Math.max(temp,0));
boatten._alpha = Math.min(100,Math.max(temp,0));
boateleven._alpha = Math.min(100,Math.max(temp,0));
boattwelve._alpha = Math.min(100,Math.max(temp,0));
boatthirteen._alpha = Math.min(100,Math.max(temp,0));
boatfourteen._alpha = Math.min(100,Math.max(temp,0));
boatfiveten._alpha = Math.min(100,Math.max(temp,0));
boatsixten._alpha = Math.min(100,Math.max(temp,0));
}
//boat

So, yeah... I am curious how to create a blur effect while animation looping.

My vote is to just make your boats blurry when they move.

Jesus! Use a loop man! It'll save you from getting RSI typing all that script out...
(Or wait till Flash 8 comes out with a blur function build in!)

Can you post your FLA?
