Default another chats made with flash...

I think we have to see chat examples to know what we should and should not do with the "Actionscripts chat proyect"

here is one that i found (didn't try it, i was the only user ther) but i liked the "mood" faces and the skins...

chat

if you found some chat , post it here, and of course make some comments.

okee-dokey smokey chickens...

moock's chat.

Pinkaboo, Squirrel and I gave this a whirl. Pink summed it up quite well by saying it lacks "LIFE".

Haven't checked out the above but will...

You can download Pipey's chatroom

here

Apparently it's not a full version but might be worth looking at. Works with ASP.

Also don't forget PenguinChat

Here's another downloadable PHP Flash Chatroom

And here's a guy who's entire directory is wide open. That's always fun. There's .swf in there to look at.

It looks this is a good source for exactly what we're doing AND it's right on the front page of thsi site!

http://www.friendsofed.com/books/stu...web/index.html

they reference http://habbohotel.com/ right in the description.

i wonder about high overhead stuff like this...anybody tried it yet? sems that it's pretty active. you could sell advertising space in a very intresting way here...

Those environments are cool and good for impressing people but in terms of what we'r ecreating this for I don't think they're so practicle.

Yeah, those things have a short life span...at least I think...They aren't practical at all for what's going on here. It's the community we want to build. It's a place you wanna be...A lot of those others, you are there less than 5 mins and are bored of the novelty...

yep I got bored of being a penguin mondo quickly, imagination is much more powerful, I mean the @desc on squirrel's beast can provide a much more unique experience anyway. A graphic could never capture the vision I see when I read Vilehelm's description!

(although Ricod one could always add your chat ads as posters in offices and things so when people @look they get an ad message (product placement!) along with the rest of the blurb.)

Yeah i agree, this is the third or fourth one that i've seen like that.

However i was thinking this morning, and i'm sure 20 has been mulling this over, that a multi user "chronotrigger type" game might have a niche out there. Don't know it's interesting to think about. Flash might be able to handle something like that...Certainly shockwave...hmmm.

You have the basic abilities of a chatroom mixed with a game. Holy crap how has pokemon not picked up on this! It could be a huge idea...gameboy level graphics...mixed with a chatroom...selling advertising the whole way...(does best homer simpson imitation mmmmmm advertising dollars).

project #2???
