Default Flash 8 content playing inconsistently.

Ive developed a site www.newpaul.com with Flash 8. Some of the content utilizes Flash 8 features (namely anti-aliased text and blend modes). On most machines the content plays as it should but on some systems it plays the Flash file but leaves out any symbols that use the blend modes and leaves out all the text.

Im checking for the latest player plugin, but on some machines it still leaves these elements out? Anyone else experience this? How can I even test for systems that have older plugins?

Any suggestions would be helpful

Paul

First off, that site fcuking owns.

Second, I did see some places where there was text missing, I assume that is what you are referring to, but I haven't looked at enough to give any meaningful suggestions...maybe tomorrow! I have the Flash 8 plug-in installed so that shouldn't be an issue.

I meant to post this so called "fix" from Macromedia which basically says use Flash player 7.

http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/kn...fm?id=144b4be2

1.) Open a FLA file published for play with Flash Player 8
2.) Open the Publish Settings dialog box (File > Publish Settings), click the Flash tab and select Flash Player 7 from the Version pop-up menu.
3.) Publish the SWF with these settings.
4.) Wonder why we didn't fix this problem and posted such a lame solution.

ok, so I added the last one.
