Default Pinkaboo Report no. 1

MACHINE SPECS
Pentium III 500
384 MB RAM
56.6 K modem
windows 98 2nd edition
IE 5.50.4134.0600

GENERAL USABILITY
Intuitiveness :
- Not very intuitive
- Who box should auto fill
- Controls took a while to understand
- Who button unrecognisable
- Hard to find out where people are
- Newbies won't know shout will reach everyone
- Maybe who box should also display how long anyone's connected ?
- Doubleclicking name unexpected result (shout, not description)
- Who box should show up something when noone else is there
- Toggle buttons troublesome (wants those function descriptions)
- Map should be able to teleport yourself there
- Map shouldn't be rollOver, but be closed manually
- No quit button
- Toggle buton should autoadd the word in input box
- Toggle buttons awkward and restraining
- Wants a look at instead of look
- Wants color to distinguish between chat and look text
- Look gives too much space at the top
- Cut 'n paste worked fine
- Character limit a bit low
- @paste worked, but awful formatting
- Wants more obvious off state for toggle buttons

Legibility :
- Design made eyes swim
- Direction buttons' design differ from rest
- Toggle button placement out of place

Speed :
- (56k modem)
- No connection problems
- Not as fast as first client, but good enough
- SWF loaded in okay too
- Delay bewteen typing a command and appearing

Stability :
- Scroll buttons went berserk
- No help file !
- Other broserwindows open. No problems.

Design :
- Very soft focus
- Compass squished and just NO !
- Buttons not like buttons

BUG REPORT:
Function Used: scroll buttons
Error Description: history text went berserk – scrolling up and down madly, couldn’t stop it myself, had to let it come to a rest at the top. Then I tried scrolling back down so I could see the current conversation but it went mad again. Had to quit and reconnect to get back in again
Browser Edition: IE 5.50.4134.0600

Function Used:
Error Description: got a 20 Ton help file message that made no sense, apparently it should appear when you type ? though I don’t think I did (but as I do tend to hold my graphics pen in my hand as I type it is a possibility that I knocked it) Just thought I’d mention it anyway.
Browser Edition: IE 5.50.4134.0600
