Unhappy How to clear flash or local cache?

Hi guys,

How do i clear a local cache or a flash cache using actionscript? i have problems with cache here..

did you mean the cache of 'complied actionscript' or the 'browser-cache' ?

That may force the browser to not use the cached file if there is one, but won't clear it per say...

it depends on what browser you use..
e.g. FireFox 1.5 hit (Ctrl+Shift+Del) and a dialog will appear.

well if you meant to really clear the cache (to delete files that are stored in cache) using action script then the answer is really simple: YOU DON'T. The Flash won't (NEVER) delete a file from a client's computer (that's naturally). You can at most use pragma-nocache in your html code for a page not to cache.. but to delete files.... don't think so...
