<p>Submissions close next Tuesday, June 30<sup>th</sup>
 for applications and ideas for the 2009 CAI competition in any of four
categories: </p>

<ul><li><i><span style="font-style: italic;">Flash &#08211 developers should submit their best
applications that expand the capabilities of Flash Lite on Nokia devices</span></i>.
</li><li>Internet
Innovation &#08211 developers can submit either web applications known as Web
Runtime widgets, or websites which are optimized for mobile browsing with Nokia
devices. </li><li>Emerging Markets
and Mobile Necessities &#08211 developers are encouraged to submit their most
innovative application using Nokia platforms, ranging from SMS through Series
40 and S60 device platforms. All applications will be evaluated, including
those developed using Java, Python or open source.</li><li>Apps on Maps
&#08211 In this category, developers can submit new ideas (completed apps are
not necessary at this stage) that harness the power of location-aware services
using Ovi Maps on Nokia devices.</li></ul>

<p>September 5, 2008&#08212Boston, MA&#08212The Flash on Tap Conference today announced four limited attendance all-day workshops for Flash designers and developers taking place October 7, 2008 from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm in Boston at the Park Plaza Hotel and Towers. The workshops are offered prior to the start of the Flash on Tap Conference for those attendees who wish to add an all-day learning opportunity to their conference experience. The workshops: PaperVision3D led by John Grden and Andy Zupko; AS3 for Designers taught by Richard Shupe; Red5 presented by Dominick Accattato and Paul Gregoire; and Animation for Flash taught by leading Flash animator, Chris Georgenes, can be taken by conference attendees and those not attending the conference who wish to take an all-day class on one of the four subjects.</p>
