Twitter application tutorial and source code from Sony Ericsson!

For those of you who are wondering how applications like twitter can be developed for mobile phones like Sony Ericsson devices. Well fortunately Sony Ercisson has recently published a tutorial for this purpose. Though the tutorial focuses more on the use of Sony Ericsson Flash Lite 2.2 UI Components in developing real mobile applications. Developers can still have access to the source files and the supporting MXP plug-ins. The Twitter application of this tutorial allows users to browse and post tweets.

Note: Support for Project Capuchin is required for the application to run on the phone. A list of phones supporting Project Capuchin can be found here.

Sony Ericsson Flash Lite UI components and project Capuchin

This tutorial shows how to use Sony Ericsson Flash Lite 2.0 UI Components in developing real mobile applications.

The MP3 Player application lists MP3 files in the “music” folder on the memory card in the phone, builds a playlist and gives the user possibility to play a selected song or go to next/previous song. The following data is displayed for the song being played: ID3 tag (if available), music length and remaining time.
