12, 2011 - iSpring Research announced CodeDrive, the professional Flash IDE
with a proprietary ActionScript 3 compiler. The product is now available as a
beta version and is expected to be released by September 2011.
The closed beta testing of CodeDrive AS3 compiler has shown a significant (up
to 2-3 times) increase in project compilation speed in most cases, comparing to
Adobe Flex SDK 3 and 4 compilers. Being designed from scratch for high performance
and effective use of resources, CodeDrive ActionScript 3 compiler offers major
advantages in rapid Flash development.
The product helps increase development productivity not only due to its faster AS3 compiler, but also due to perfect implementation of standard intelligent coding facilities: code completion, syntax coloring, error detection, highlighting and reporting, powerful build system, simple and effective resource management.
The product is perfectly suitable for those who already use the most recognized Microsoft development tool - Visual Studio. CodeDrive can be easily integrated as an extension with an existing Visual Studio 2010 environment.
CodeDrive is particularly good for integration of Adobe Flash client-side and Microsoft .NET server-side applications. Supporting Flash development in Visual Studio, CodeDrive bridges the gap between these technologies much easier than before.
CodeDrive can also run as a standalone Flash IDE without having Visual Studio explicitly installed.
“Our main goal was to create a tool that boosts productivity over the entire cycle of Flash development. All developers are in need of fast compilation, coding comfort and effective resource management, and CodeDrive is focused on these needs.” – said Yury Uskov, CEO of iSpring Solutions. “The results of the closed beta testing show 7-10% growth in coding productivity. iSpring developers are excited using CodeDrive in everyday work, and I believe that CodeDrive will be an attractive solution for every rich media developer, who currently uses other tools”.
