Linx provides a very easy way to edit, combine and manipulate Flash movies

LOS ANGELES, CA - December 4, 2002. Wildform, creators of media software and resources, today announced the release of a new product, the Linx Flash Editor. Linx features an easy-to-use WYSIWYG interface that provides users with the ability to import and then edit, combine and manipulate virtually any type of Flash SWF file, from simple images to complex animations, audio and video, without needing to learn the intricacies of Flash.

Linx also provides many useful features such as an image and audio importer, image and audio controls, links, variables, preprogrammed actions, play controls, html output and projector exports. Using Linx with Flash-exporting software such as Wildform's Flix and SWfX, it is easy to create dynamic content including product demonstrations, training videos, tutorials, ads, buttons, marketing materials and multimedia presentations for both web deployment and offline distribution on CDs and intranets.

The Macromedia Flash authoring tool cannot import any SWF file with Actionscript (the Flash programming language), audio, video, variables or bitrate controls. Consequently, the only way to work with most SWF files in Flash is to use Actionscript to load these files into Flash and then control them. This means that users cannot see the movies they are working on until they publish the file.

Wildform CEO, Jonathan Blank, commented, "There are many designers, developers and videographers who like to use Flash because of its dynamic animation and multimedia capabilities, but who lack the expertise required to make complex movies. They have been looking for a WYSIWYG editor that eliminates the need to use Load Movie and allows all SWF files to be imported, viewed, edited and manipulated on a timeline during the editing process. Linx accomplishes just that."

Linx works seamlessly with Wildform's industry leading Flash video encoder, Flix, and its highly popular Flash text animator, SWfX as well as with virtually any SWF file produced by Macromedia Flash and third party Flash software. Moreover, Linx is the only software available that can edit Flash video SWF files. Linx, available for Windows, is only $49.
