Magnet Media Receives Recognition from Videographer, Telly & Horizon Interactive

New York, NY (May 1, 2003)– Magnet Media Inc. announced today that Inside Flash MX Production Essentials, a part of the Digital Media Training Series (DMTS), has won three prestigious industry awards. The self-paced interactive training CD-ROM for Macromedia Flash MX received a Silver Horizon Interactive Award, was selected as a Telly Award Finalist and also received an Honorable Mention from the Videographer Awards.

Magnet Media Inc. was honored by the Horizon Interactive Awards, a leading international interactive media awards competition, for their excellence in interactive media production with a Silver award in the Consumer Information CD-Rom category for Inside Flash MX Production Essentials. “This year’s entry field was the most competitive to date. We saw hundreds of innovative and incredibly creative projects that showcased excellent interactive media solutions,” said Mike Sauce, President of the Horizon Interactive Awards. “This year’s talented winners have achieved a delicate balance of aesthetics, content organization and streamlined functionality that have raised the bar for future competitions.” Winners of this year’s Horizon Interactive Awards will on display at the Internet World Fall convention in NYC.

The Telly has become one of the most sought-after awards in the TV, commercial and video industry. Telly’s are rated on a 10 point scale. 7.0 to 9.0 are considered “finalists” and receive a bronze Telly and 9.0 and higher are considered “winners” and received a silver Telly. Inside Flash MX received a Bronze Telly in the category of Training for Corporate Use. Last year’s winners in the Video & Film and Program include Apple Computer, the New York Yankees, Nike Film and Video, Paramount Marketing, National Geographic Channel, Compaq Computer, The NBC Agency, US Army, Johns Hopkins Children’s Center, and TLC Entertainment.

The Videographer Awards is an international awards program directed by communications professionals to honor talented individuals and companies in the video production field. Honorable Mention was given to Inside Flash MX. This award is given to projects that are judged above industry standards. The Videographer Awards is designed to identify communications professionals who are raising the standards of the industry and to give winners and their clients the recognition that the work they are producing is outstanding and highly regarded by their peers.
