Marmalade Multimedia is pleased to announce the release of FlashAmp 2 for Windows and Macintosh. FlashAmp is the sound-visualization utility for Macromedia Flash� used by hundreds of Flash developers around the world. With the original FlashAmp 1 and Flash you could:

- easily create lip sync for animated characters
- synchronize animations to sound
- draw sound waveforms
- draw VU meters
- use audio cue points in Flash!

FlashAmp 2 includes all the functionality of FlashAmp 1 as well as...

- output of spectrum (frequency) data for music visualizations,
eq displays and other applications
- batch processing of sound files with error logging
- stereo support (lists for left and right channels)
- optional dB value scaling
- optional normalization of input sound data
- improved output file format and a new file format allows FlashAmp data to be used directly in Flash via an ActionScript #include statement.
- a new more intuitive user-interface
- output data is displayed on-screen in FlashAmp

There are also fixes for numerous bugs and annoying issues - a complete fix list is available on the website (see below).

Three editions of FlashAmp have been released: FlashAmp Lite, FlashAmp Standard and FlashAmp Pro.

All editions of FlashAmp are designed to be easy to use so you can quickly and easily generate the synch data that you can use in Flash. And once FlashAmp has produced the data you don't have to be an expert in ActionScript to get great results. Even though the ActionScript required is really simple we provide you with examples and movie clips to make it even easier.
