Stockholm, January 9, 2003 - Time Warner Cable and Fantasy Interactive today announced the dramatic redesign of the Road Runner broadband service online. The new service will be rolled out to customers across the United States from January 13 through 16, and features an enhanced user interface together with cutting edge design that provides Road Runner customers with the ability to take full advantage of broadband content and to customize the Road Runner web experience to suit their personal preferences.

"This new generation of Road Runner is really a reinvention of what a broadband service should be," said Jeff King, executive vice president, Time Warner Cable Network Services and president, Road Runner. "Our content and features-focused site has been developed so customers can dramatically personalize the home page as well as enjoy a truly localized ISP service. The redesign enables customers to enjoy the best the web has to offer today."

Fantasy Interactive designed and developed the service in cooperation with Time Warner Cable's broadband division Road Runner. Macromedia was also involved in the development, enabling Road Runner to deliver an interface entirely based on Flash, and RealNetworks' streaming media platform is used to manage and multicast premium audio and video.

"Flash brings amazing benefits to the Road Runner site with its ability to deliver a fluid, seamless experience that really capitalizes on all the possibilities of a broadband connection," said Jeff Whatcott, senior director, Macromedia. "The quality of the portal will not only attract new users, but existing users will further connect with the service because of this great subscriber benefit."

Replete with voice cues, audio and graphical movement, the new Road Runner service provides the user with a fluid interface to easily glide through information, entertainment and merchandise categories, each loaded with photos, video, sound and games. International, national and local content is offered, enabled by top content providers and local Road Runner markets.

"This is truly a quantum leap for the whole broadband industry", said David Martin, president and creative director of Fantasy Interactive AB. "By re-designing both front- and back-end of the Road Runner service I believe we have set the new standards for broadband content and interactivity within online environments. We have kept the customer in focus throughout the development, enhancing the Road Runner service while allowing the customers to make it a very personal experience."
