View all articles by Jesse Stratford- Your trigger commands must go on the next frame after the frame with you last loadMovie command so that they are trigged when the last movie fully loads and send the main stage forward.
- Whatever form you use (frame commands or a button) is should use this script:
_levelX.gotoAndPlay(Y);
Where X is the level you loaded the movie clip to and Y is the first frame of the content of your movie clip. You will need one command like this per movie you loaded. So if you loaded 10 movies you will need 10 commands triggering levels 1 through 10.
- You will want to insert a keyframe in this trigger frame on the "Visual" level and remove the preloader content, such as the word "loading" or any loading animations you inserted
That's it! If you need a tutorial which deals with one of the scenarios in the "Known Limitations" section, email me about it. If I get enough emails I'll make one :o) If you have any questions please post them on the forums rather than ask me via email.
PS - That X graphic is the same one I used in the other preloader tutorial. Copyrighted to me, Jesse, in case you're wondering. You can download it here if you like it.
