Mask Layer within mask layer in Flash CS4

I always thought that creating a mask layer inside the mask layer was impossible in flash. Recently I was working on one of my projects and by accident I've created mask within the mask layer.
It's is very simple to achive.

Create a mask layer
Create a simple layer put something on it and then drag the key frame on the mask layer
Drag it under the mask

I'm unclear as to the utility of this method, how is this different than having the two masked groups separate from each other? Since the masks don't combine with each other what is the purpose?

The <a href="http://lowest-rate-loans.com">loans</a> seem to be very useful for people, which would like to organize their own career. As a fact, it is not really hard to receive a secured loan.
