Thanks for the invaluable help you provide the flash community, this tutorial is theoretically what I'm looking for, however I need the same functionality this provides on a MovieClip rather than a dynamic text field.

Currently I have it working with a scrollbar and a masked movieclip, but my boss wants buttons without the scrollbar. I'm sure there's likely a tut you've already done in this regard, but I haven't been able to find it so far.

Any help appreciated.

a put the text in some component like textarea (i don't know),and after a event this text begin to scroll,and its very important the control of velocity.
can you reply(answer) in my email plsz?
