ActionScript.org 2007 Tutorial Competition Details
Update - Dec 6, 2007We've had a few requests to extend the deadline of the Tutorial Competition, and with the great quality submissions we’ve been receiving, we’ve decided to extend the closing date by one week from Dec 9th to Dec 16th. That gives you a few more days to get your content up to scratch and into the CMS! Good luck!BackgroundNovember and December are a special time for us at ActionScript.org. This period marks not only the birthdays of the founding partners, but also the birth of the Community itself. This year we've decided to hold a bit of a competition to commemorate the occasion. The CompetitionYou'll need to Become and Author in the ActionScript.org Content Management System (CMS) if you're not already. It's free and takes just a few minutes. Please be sure to read all the instructions, terms and conditions when signing up. After that, it's simple; write and submit your tutorial(s) before the closing date, and you'll in the running to win some of the great prize packages we've lined up! Each person can win only one prize package, but entrants will be ranked on a points system so submitting multiple tutorials may increase your chances of winning. Of course, quality will also be a crucial deciding factor! The Sponsors & PrizesWe brought together some fantastic prize packs for this competition, with fantastic support from our generous sponsors. There's $900 worth of JumpEye vouchers, to be spent on JumpEye Flash Components, courtesy of the folks JumpEye Flash Components. Wildform have generously contributed two copies of their WildPresenter tool, valued at $600. Chameleon Flash have offered up seven copies of their brand new Chameleon Flash Pro, to turn your SWF projects into customized executables and screensavers. The team at Flashloaded will be providing $200 worth of vouchers to be spent on FlashLoaded's great collection of Flash components. And finally, we at ActionScript.org are pitching in $800 worth of cash to sweeten the deal! The Prize PackagesThe prizes are as follows:
